Gatlinburg / Pigeon Forge Trip Info and Intent Form

Trip Intent Forms for the HS Music Department Trip to Gatlinburg / Pigeon Forge, Tennessee went out to students today. All forms (whether the student is going or not) are due back to Mr. Cartwright and Mr. Luxbacher by Tuesday, October 15, 2024. If your student is going on the trip, a down payment in the amount of $190 should accompany the form. Statements of account will be coming out tomorrow for students who have money in their OCMA accounts. PMEA Financial Responsibility Forms Due TOMORROW (Friday, 9/27)

Students interested in participating in either Jr. High District Chorus (Grades 7-9 - November 22nd at DuBois MS), or Sr. High District Chorus (Grades 10-12 - February 5-7 at River Valley HS) must turn in their financial responsibility form in by the end of the day Friday, September 27th, to be considered for the events.  Link to the form is below.  Contact Mr. Luxbacher with any questions. IT'S HOMECOMING WEEK!!!

The High School Choirs will be singing the National Anthem and Alma Mater at the OC vs. Grove City Game this Friday Night, September 27th. Report Time: 6:00 in the High School Choir Room (Football, Cheerleaders, and Concessions will meet us at the field) Dress: Nice Blue Jeans (minimal holes), Tennis Shoes, Oil City Top. If no Oil City top, please wear straight blue, white or grey (no big logos) Performance Time: Approximately 6:40-6:45 pm. Parents should be in their seats by this time to see the students perform. Release: After Pre-Game. Students not staying for the game can be picked up at the Stadium around 7:00. This is a required performance (35% of the first nine weeks grade). OCMA GENERAL MEETING - MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 6:00 PM

      The Oil City Music Department is a very active group, and the directors and music teachers are extremely dedicated to their respective programs.  However, they are in need of parent support, in the form of volunteers, organizational talents, and as a vocal influence on policymakers and administrators, to “spread the word,” if you will, about the positive things going on in our music department, which not only benefit your children, but the community as a whole.      Being a citizen in the Oil City Area School District, and/or having a student in the band, choir, or musicals allows you to be a member of our organization.  You can be as active as you desire, with our general meeting twice a year, and most committees meeting rarely at the discretion of the board and directors.        The Oil City Music Association will hold a parents' meeting   on this Monday, September 16th at 6:00 pm   in the high school choir room.  The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss upcoming proje

Gahr's Hamloaf Orders

 The Oil City Music Association is coordinating a Gahr's Hamloaf fundraiser for all band and choir students grades 8-12.  Please note this is an optional fundraiser.  All fundraiser forms and money are due by Friday, September 20th.  Students will receive 35% of all items sold for their OCMA Accounts.  See Mr. Luxbacher or Mr. Cartwright with questions.
