Chaperones - An Explanation of the Selection Process
Mr. Cartwright and I will be working on chaperones for the upcoming trip to Nashville this week and weekend. We have been overwhelmed with the response of our call for chaperones for the trip. While we would love to take everyone, we are limited by bus seating as well as pricing (part of the student trip price is used to offset some of the chaperone cost). We will be taking chaperones based on the following priority levels:
1. Principal (OCASD board policy states we must take an administrator on all out of state, overnight trips)
2. Trip Nurse (need to have an RN or LPN to help with simple first aid and medicine distribution)
3. Parent Chaperones who have traveled with us previously
4. Parents of students with special dietary/medical needs
5. Parents of Juniors and Seniors
6. First come, first served of the 8th grade, freshman, and sophomore parents.
We will be determining participants from those who have sent email or phone confirmations in the past three weeks. If more are needed, we will put out the call via the blog in the coming days. Thanks so much for your help and willingness to serve, and please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Cartwright or Mr. Luxbacher with questions.
