Guys and Dolls - Upcoming Schedule Changes

Below are some upcoming schedule changes for the musical.  While none of them are changes of time or date, there are changes to what we are working on.  Let Mr. Luxbacher know if you have questions or issues.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 20TH: Clean-up and Polishing Act I 6:30-8:30

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 21ST: Clean-up and Polishing Act II 3:15-5:30

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 28TH: Polishing Act II, Scenes 1-4 6:30-8:30 

  • Was scheduled Act I Put-Together, but many of the orchestra will be involved with Joseph at Rocky Grove HS that Night


TUESDAY, MARCH 4TH: Act I Put-Together 6:30 - 9:00 (FULL CAST IS EXPECTED TO ATTEND)


WEDNESDAY, MARCH 12TH -  FRIDAY, MARCH 14TH: HOLD FOR REHEARSAL

  • As of right now, I am only planning on adding the Wednesday Night Rehearsal that week if we need it.  With the weather, I am not ready to release the others.  If EVERYONE has their lines, moves, and music ready at the Act I and II Put-Togethers, we will more than likely give you a long weekend before Tech Week and cancel Thursday and Friday.  However, that decision will be made later down the line.

CHOREOGRAPHY REHEARSALS FROM HERE ON IN:
  • This Week (2/22) - Gamblers - Luck Be a Lady and Crapshooters' Dance 2-5
  • From 2/29 to Show Week - we will more than likely be running dance rehearsal in one hour blocks, working each major group (Crapshooters, Havana, and Hot Box).  Plan to keep 2-5 open on Saturdays until show.

OCMA GENERAL MEETING - MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 6:00 PM

      The Oil City Music Department is a very active group, and the directors and music teachers are extremely dedicated to their respective programs.  However, they are in need of parent support, in the form of volunteers, organizational talents, and as a vocal influence on policymakers and administrators, to “spread the word,” if you will, about the positive things going on in our music department, which not only benefit your children, but the community as a whole.      Being a citizen in the Oil City Area School District, and/or having a student in the band, choir, or musicals allows you to be a member of our organization.  You can be as active as you desire, with our general meeting twice a year, and most committees meeting rarely at the discretion of the board and directors.        The Oil City Music Association will hold a parents' meeting   on this Monday, September 16th at 6:00 pm   in the high school choir ro...
