Senior Spotlight - Daniel Martinec

Over the course of the next month, we will take some time to recognize and thank our Oil City High School Choir Seniors for their hard work and dedication to this program. Many of these students started in 7th grade, and have continued to sing throughout their Middle School and High School Careers. We thank them for their service, and we wish them well in their future endeavors.

 

Our next featured senior is Daniel Martinec.  He is the son of Matthew and Amanda Martinec.  He has been a member of the choir since the seventh grade, and has been an important part of the stage crew since his sophomore year.  In addition to his musical pursuits, he has been a member of the Cross Country, Track, Robotics, and STEM Teams, and has been an member of National Honor Society.  In the fall, Dan will be attending the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville majoring in Nursing.  He would like to take this opportunity to thank his friends and family for their love and support through these many years.

OCMA GENERAL MEETING - MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 6:00 PM

      The Oil City Music Department is a very active group, and the directors and music teachers are extremely dedicated to their respective programs.  However, they are in need of parent support, in the form of volunteers, organizational talents, and as a vocal influence on policymakers and administrators, to “spread the word,” if you will, about the positive things going on in our music department, which not only benefit your children, but the community as a whole.      Being a citizen in the Oil City Area School District, and/or having a student in the band, choir, or musicals allows you to be a member of our organization.  You can be as active as you desire, with our general meeting twice a year, and most committees meeting rarely at the discretion of the board and directors.        The Oil City Music Association will hold a parents' meeting   on this Monday, September 16th at 6:00 pm   in the high school choir room.  The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss upcoming proje
