Ut Queant Laxis - Guido di Arezzo
Translation:
So that your servants may, with loosened voices
Resound the wonders of your deeds,
Clean the guilt from our stained lips, O Saint John
Your skeptic father, doubting Heaven’s promise
Promptly and fully lost all voice and language
But what was taken, ruined past all healing
Your birth restored it.
We praise the Father and the Son begotten;
We praise the Spirit, who has equal power.
One God and holy for all times and seasons, all generations.
Amen.

"The Hallelujah Chorus” has been the traditional closer for the annual holiday concert for many years. We would invite our alumni and community members to sing with us from their seats this evening. Copies of the piece are available in the back of the auditorium. We look forward to inviting you back to the risers next holiday season!
Those people not joining us on the risers for the performance are encouraged to stand in the grand tradition of the piece.
Special Thanks to the OCHS Custodial and Maintenance Staff for all of their efforts with tonight’s concert.
