Congratulations to the following Oil City High School Choir members who will be representing us at the PMEA District 3 High School Choir Festival, to be held at Brockway High School in January: Isabella Vorse - Soprano 2 Madelyn Garland - Alto 1 Shayla Hanlon - Alto 2 Carson Foster - Tenor 2 Chayce Whittemore - Tenor 2 Bryce Davis - Bass 2 Heath Warner - Bass 2 The District 3 Jr. High Chorus Fest Participants will be determined soon!

CONCERT WEEK REMINDERS

It's Concert Week for the Middle and High School Choirs.   Here is the rundown for the week: THURSDAY, MAY 8th - MS Chorus Concert - 8th Grade Chorus Report Time 6:30 pm - Report to the Choir Room - Concert Begins at 7:00 pm (Admission Free) - Dress: same as the holiday concert.  Black pants, white shirt, and dress shoes.  Guys should have a tie, and for the ladies, tie or scarf are optional.  If students are in need of any concert clothing, please let me know, or have them let me know Monday, and I will work with our clothing closet at the middle school to get it for them.   - This is a required concert, and 35% of their nine weeks grade.   SATURDAY, MAY 10th - HS Swing Out - Report Time 7:00 pm  - Concert Begins at 7:30 pm (Admission $2 per person) - Dress: Dress clothes under the robes - This is a required concert, and 35% of their nine weeks grade.   - We are in need of a few parents to work the ticket booth for the concert...

Gahr's Hamloaf Fundraiser Pickup TODAY!

Pickup for the Gahr's Hamloaf Fundraiser will be in the High School Auditorium (note change) today from 3:30 - 5:00 pm. Please park in the front auditorium lot, and bring boxes or a cooler for large orders. Contact Mr. Luxbacher with questions.

Gatlinburg / Pigeon Forge Trip Info and Intent Form

Trip Intent Forms for the HS Music Department Trip to Gatlinburg / Pigeon Forge, Tennessee went out to students today. All forms (whether the student is going or not) are due back to Mr. Cartwright and Mr. Luxbacher by Tuesday, October 15, 2024. If your student is going on the trip, a down payment in the amount of $190 should accompany the form. Statements of account will be coming out tomorrow for students who have money in their OCMA accounts. PMEA Financial Responsibility Forms Due TOMORROW (Friday, 9/27)

Students interested in participating in either Jr. High District Chorus (Grades 7-9 - November 22nd at DuBois MS), or Sr. High District Chorus (Grades 10-12 - February 5-7 at River Valley HS) must turn in their financial responsibility form in by the end of the day Friday, September 27th, to be considered for the events.  Link to the form is below.  Contact Mr. Luxbacher with any questions. IT'S HOMECOMING WEEK!!!

The High School Choirs will be singing the National Anthem and Alma Mater at the OC vs. Grove City Game this Friday Night, September 27th. Report Time: 6:00 in the High School Choir Room (Football, Cheerleaders, and Concessions will meet us at the field) Dress: Nice Blue Jeans (minimal holes), Tennis Shoes, Oil City Top. If no Oil City top, please wear straight blue, white or grey (no big logos) Performance Time: Approximately 6:40-6:45 pm. Parents should be in their seats by this time to see the students perform. Release: After Pre-Game. Students not staying for the game can be picked up at the Stadium around 7:00. This is a required performance (35% of the first nine weeks grade).
