Musical Rehearsal Schedule - First Week and Going Forward

Thank you for your patience with regards to the musical schedule. I have put the first week up on the calendar, and the rest should be soon to follow. OCMA Meeting - Monday, November 13th

The OCMA will hold it's executive meeting on Monday, Nov 13 at 5:30 and our general meeting at 6:00 pm. If you would like to come and find out what OCMA is all about please come and join us. Anyone is welcome!!

Parent Teacher Conferences - Friday November 10th

With the school year well underway and the first marking period concluding, it is time for our annual parent / teacher conferences.  If you have not already been notified, these will take place on Friday, November 10th, from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm.  If you would like to schedule a time to meet and discuss your student's progress in music class or choir, click the link below and please fill out the form.  You can also access this form on my teacher page.  You can choose either a face to face meeting, or one via zoom.  I will then get back to you by Wednesday, November 8th with a definite time and zoom link (if requested) in the time window you requested.  If you are unable to attend a conference time, but would still like to be contacted regarding your student's progress, please also indicate that on the form below, and I can either email with your student's progress, or call you on the phone.  As always, I am here for you, and welcome any questions or concerns you may have.  T

Jr. and Sr. High District Chorus Paperwork - Due Wednesday, October 11th

  JR. HIGH DISTRICT CHORUS: GRADES 8 AND 9 ONLY Jr. District Chorus will be held January 15, 2024 at Indiana Junior High School.  The guest conductors for the festival are Paul Seymour, retired choral director from Central Cambria High School, and Wendy Jo Nagy, retired choral director from Hollidaysburg Area School District.  This is a one day festival, with our group going down early in the morning, rehearsing through the day, and putting on a concert in the evening that your parents are invited to see. SR. HIGH DISTRICT CHORUS: GRADES 10-12 ONLY District Chorus will be held January 24-26, 2024 at Freeport High School.  The guest conductor for the festival is Mr. Fran Nesta, former choir director at Keystone High School.  We will be staying at Freeport this year, rather than commuting. HOMECOMING PERFORMANCE TONIGHT!!!

REPORT TIME: 5:45 PM DRESS:  Pants, Tennis Shoes, Oil City Top.  If not OC Top, straight Blue, White, or Gray We will perform the National Anthem and Alma Mater right after Cranberry's Homecoming Court during Pre-Game. Students should be done shortly before 7:00 pm THIS IS A REQUIRED PEROFRMANCE (35% of Nine Week's Grade)

"Something to Sing About" Raffle

Oil City Music Association is teaming up with the Oil City Blue and White to present our first "Something to Sing About" Raffle. Tickets are $10. and all proceeds will go to support the OCHS Musical and this year's production of "Shrek." Drawings will take place during intermission each night of Shrek: The Musical, March 16, 17, and 18. Six prizes will be drawn each night. If you interested in purchasing a ticket, or are interested in helping sell tickets, please contact Musical Business Manager Pam Reinsel at preinsel@mail.ocasd.org.
