Swing Out Court / Choral Award Ballot

Everyone in MS / HS Choir should have gotten a Spring Questionnaire in the school email account.  The form includes suggestions for upcoming class / special Zoom sessions, as well as the Swing Out Court Ballot and Choral Award Nominations for HS Choir.  Please complete that form this week and return no later than Friday.  Contact Mr. Luxbacher with questions or issues.

He graduated in 2006 from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in Piano and German. In studying to become a piano technician, Sam was mentored in Piano Technology by Peter Stumpf, RPT, who provides piano service to the Pittsburgh Symphony and the University of Pittsburgh. Choir Karate and Special Meeting Sessions This Week

TUESDAY: CHOIR KARATE Yellow 2 / Orange 4 - 2:00 - 3:00 PM WEDSNESDAY: SPECIAL SESSION - Ryan Carter - Life as a Music Major - 2:15 - 3:00 PM Ryan Carter is a 2017 graduate of Franklin High School and is currently a junior music education major at IUP.  Ryan will talk about his experiences as a music major, the program at IUP, and what you should be prepared for at college.  There will be a question and answer session following the presentation. Zoom Weekly Meetings Going Forward

From this week moving forward, here is the weekly schedule of meetings: MONDAYS: 11:00 - 11:45 AM  MS Chorus (7th and 8th Combined) 1:25 - 2:05 PM  A Cappella Choir - Underclassmen 2:15 - 3:00 PM  Treble and Bass Choir TUESDAYS: 9:10 - 9:45 AM  6th Grade Music Office hours WEDNESDAYS: 11:15 - 11:45 AM  5th Grade Music Office hours 1:25 - 2:05 PM  A Cappella Choir - Seniors Zoom Meetings for Choir Karate  and special sessions will be scheduled around these times and will change from week to week.  Check Google Classroom for times and codes, and contact Mr. Luxbacher with questions.

8th Grade Chorus Meeting - Change in Date

Due to a scheduling conflict on my part, we will need to move the 8th Grade Chorus meeting for this week from Thursday to Friday, April 17th at the same time (12:30 pm).  Zoom information is the same as before, and can be found in Google Classroom or in student emails.  If the change in date conflicts with another meeting, let me know and I can include you in the 7th grade chorus meeting on Wednesday (same time - same material).  Contact Mr. Luxbacher with questions.

We are ready to roll with a plan for the rest of the school year.  To get things moving, I would like to meet with the following groups on the following days this coming week: Monday, April 13th:  No Class Meetings Tuesday, April 14th: 8:00 - 9:00 AM Treble Choir 9:10 - 9:45 AM 6th Grade General Music Class (Semester 2) 1:30 - 2:30 PM A Cappella Choir 2:30 - 3:15 PM Rhapsody in Blues/Quartets Wednesday, April 15th: 8:30 - 9:30 AM Bass Choir 11:15 AM - 12:00 PM 5th Grade General Music 12:30 - 1:30 PM 7th Grade Chorus Thursday, April 16th: No Class Meetings Friday, April 17th: 12:30 - 1:30 PM 8th Grade Chorus - PLEASE NOTE CHANGE UPDATE: All class meetings will either take place via Zoom (Google Meet is not able to be utilized at this time.)  Students can access login information either by checking their student email, or going on their Google Classroom account.  Contact Mr. Luxbacher with questions.
