HIGH SCHOOL HOLIDAY CONCERT UPDATE

Thank you all for your patience this morning as decisions were being made. Due to the cancellation of school today, and the chance for hazardous road conditions later this evening, we are postponing tonight's Holiday Concert until Thursday, December 22nd, at 7:30 pm. Choir and Band members will receive further information regarding the change in class tomorrow, and we invite all members of the Oil City Community to join on that night for this special holiday event. Hope to see you then!

WEATHER CONTINGENCY PLAN:

As you may have seen on the news and weather apps, there is a good chance of snow and freezing rain in the forecast for Thursday. While we have every intention of having the concert should the weather cooperate, we want to make everyone aware of the plan should it not. IF SCHOOL IS DELAYED THURSDAY: Provided that the weather continues to cooperate, the concert will be held as planned. IF SCHOOL IS CANCELLED / THE WEATHER DETERIORATES THROUGHOUT THE DAY THURSDAY: More than likely, the concert will be moved to Thursday, December 22nd at 7:30 pm . However, Mr. Stahl will be in contact with Dr. Weller and the other administrators in the county (3 other high schools have concerts that night) and a decision will be made to determine if the evening concerts can continue. We will follow the determination of the administrators. A School Reach call will be made to let people know one way or the other.. BAND PARENTS/MEMBERS: Keep an eye to Google Classroom and the Oiler Marching Band / Oil

Oil City High School Holiday Concert

Oil City High School Music Department will present their annual Holiday Concert this Thursday, December 15th, at 7:30pm in the High School Auditorium.   Featuring all of the Oil City High School Band and Choirs, we are especially excited to invite the Alumni back to sing and play with us on the Hallelujah Chorus this year.  Those wanting to play the piece should contact Mr. Cartwright this week so that he can have music and a chair ready for you.  Music will be available for all those singing with the choir. Admission for the High School Concert is a canned good or non-perishable food item.  This year, we are focusing on helping to stock the food pantries at our middle and high schools with easy, ready-made meals for our students.  Such things as "Easy Mac," soups, canned pastas (a la Chef Boy-R-Dee), cereal, breakfast bars, oatmeal, and snacks would be greatly appreciated.  However, please note that any donation made will go to local food pantries, either at the school, or e
