Oil City Music Association Meeting - Monday, September 21st!

The Oil City Music Association (OCMA) is our parent organization, dedicated to supporting the music department in all of its activities, coordinating fundraising efforts for our students, and serving as an advocate for our program within the greater Oil City and Venango County community.

Our first general meeting of the year will be held tomorrow evening, Monday, September 21, at 6:00 p.m. in the High School Choir Room. We will share updates on the start of the school year, outline plans for the months ahead, and elect officers for the 2026–2027 school year. There are many meaningful ways to be involved, and we hope you will join us.

If you are interested in serving as an officer, please contact Mr. Cartwright or Mr. Luxbacher. The officer positions include:

President — Leads the executive board and general meetings; coordinates fundraisers; works directly with the band and choir directors to identify program needs and engage the parent organization in supporting them.

Vice President — Assists the president in all organizational activities and steps in when the president is unavailable; collaborates with directors to implement initiatives that benefit the department.

Secretary — Records minutes for all meetings; maintains the bylaws; serves as a resource and historian for the organization’s actions.

Treasurer — Manages all income and expenditures; maintains the checkbook and ledger; provides financial reports at executive and general meetings; prepares deposits and payments in a timely manner.

Members at Large — Voting members of the executive council who may be asked to chair committees or assist with fundraising and advocacy efforts throughout the year.
